Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) Training

As part of Care Compass Network’s SAMHSA Mental Health Awareness Training Grant (MHAT) Suicide Prevention & Training Program for Students & their Community Network of Safety (SAPTP), we are excited to sponsor the Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) training.  The QPR Institute’s mission is to save lives and reduce suicidal behaviors by providing innovative, practical, and proven suicide prevention training. The 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide.

QPR training’s key components are:

• How to Question, Persuade and Refer someone who may be suicidal
• How to get help for yourself or learn more about preventing suicide
• The common causes of suicidal behavior
• The warning signs of suicide
• How to get help for someone in a crisis

This in-person training offers dedicated time for staff to take the course collectively, with practice scenarios included in the main curriculum.

Care Compass will be providing light refreshments (coffee, water, snacks).
