The Silent Shaper: How Unconscious Bias Influences Our World

Unconscious bias quietly shapes the way we see the world, make decisions, interact with others, and respond to the people around us. In this interactive full-day session, participants will deepen their understanding of how unconscious bias and stereotypes are formed, how they influence behavior and decision-making, and how aspects of our identities, lived experiences, and environments shape the assumptions we carry.

Through a blend of theory, personal reflection, guided discussion, and real-world examples, participants will explore the connection between brain function and bias while examining how unconscious patterns show up in both personal and professional settings.

The session will also move from awareness to action by focusing on practical strategies to identify, challenge, and disrupt bias in everyday interactions. Participants will leave with actionable tools to help them make more intentional decisions, strengthen relationships, and foster more inclusive, equitable environments within their organizations and communities.

Lunch will be provided to all attendees. If you have an allergy/ dietary concern, please email CCNWebinars@carecompassnetwork.org.
