Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial Hospital (Lourdes) has been collaborating with Care Compass Collaborative (CCC) since 2021 to develop and distribute interactive, online, self-guided training programs in two major geographies of upstate New York State. Beginning in 2021 with the Ogdensburg region (Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Jefferson, Lewis, St. Lawrence, Herkimer, and Hamilton Counties) and then extending its reach in 2022 with the Southern Tier region (Broome, Tioga, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Tompkins, Schuyler, Chenango, and Delaware Counties), over 11 million impressions (or number of times the advertisements were viewed) have occurred. In 2023, Lourdes and Care Compass Collaborative have sought to understand the impact of these campaigns. A comprehensive evaluation was conducted to understand the strengths of existing content and identify opportunities for future endeavors that seek to increase accessibility of healthcare for communities in New York.
Having distributed and completed telehealth trainings, Care Compass Collaborative evaluated and assessed a variety of metrics and completed various evaluations, including:
- Assess and understand environmental factors;
- Conduct marketing campaigns;
- Gather trainee information;
- Assess pre/post-survey results; and
- Host focus groups to gain direct feedback for the training.
Each of these factors and their associated findings and recommendations are outlined in the summative report, followed by conclusions on the effectiveness of the training and recommendations on how to augment future telehealth trainings in Ogdensburg, the Southern Tier, or other regions of New York State.
